GA4 attributed 226 sessions to named sources (Facebook, direct, Google organic). The remaining 2,472 sessions carry an “unassigned” source, which typically means direct traffic, dark social shares, or visits without UTM parameters. Adding UTM tracking to all outgoing links will clean this up in future months.

Recommendations
Practical next steps for June and beyond
- 1 Add UTM parameters to all outgoing links. 91% of May sessions had no source attribution. Simple UTM tags on every Facebook post, email and GBP link will give accurate channel-level data from June onwards.
- 2 Spread Instagram posts across the full month. All 9 May posts went out in the first 7 days. A steady 2 to 3 posts per week across all four weeks will maintain algorithm visibility and give a more even reach curve.
- 3 Build landing pages for high-intent local queries. “Best SEO company in Johannesburg” and “affordable website design” both showed position 1.0 in May with zero clicks, meaning the sample is tiny. Dedicated, well-optimised pages for these terms can turn those early impressions into consistent click-through traffic.
- 4 Improve homepage CTR from Google Search. The homepage had 435 impressions but only a 1.4% CTR from position 4.7. A more direct meta title and description focused on the Johannesburg/Randburg location could push this above 3%.
- 5 Run a review request campaign. The Facebook page shows 2 reviews with no rating. A short WhatsApp or email message to past clients asking for a Google review can build up the GBP star rating quickly and improve local search ranking.
- 6 Post to GBP consistently. At least two GBP posts per month, tied to recent work or a practical tip, will keep the listing fresh and support local search visibility.
